Elementary Classroom Teacher Full-Time Position: 190 days/year

Job Summary: Teachers at Polaris Charter School create a joyful and exciting learning community where intellectually curious students are empowered to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. In this position, you will foster a love of learning while working with a class of 16 students ages 9-11 utilizing personal learning plans and a project-oriented, interdisciplinary curriculum that allows students to advance based on subject mastery.

Para-educator: Part-Time Position: 30 hrs/week Salary to Commensurate with Experience

Job Summary:

  • Under the direction of the case manager, provide one-to-one academic assistance within the regular education classroom

  • Assist/monitor behavioral goals by collecting data and accompanying the student throughout the school day.

Must have a high school diploma. College coursework is desirable. Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting or any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
